Legalization is progressing on the East Coast, with new laws going into effect for Connecticut and Virginia.

“Recreational marijuana legalization policies passed by lawmakers are now in effect in Connecticut and Virginia, while medical cannabis has been implemented in South Dakota following voter approval of a ballot initiative last year.” We’re moving toward federal legalization as more and more states adopt the benefits of both medical and recreational marijuana. Amazon endorses federal marijuana legalization, softens drug-testing policy. “U.S. cannabis industry and federal lawmakers take notice: the nation’s second-largest company is embracing nationwide marijuana legalization.” In a surprising announcement CEO, Dave Clark, said they will actively support the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act of 2021.

Scientists in the U.S. are currently limited to conducting studies with government-grown cannabis, but new federal legalization could allow researchers to pursue groundbreaking studies with cannabis products from dispensaries. This move may signal big regulatory changes ahead. What this change could mean for the future of the industry.

Get to know one of our expert founders, Rocco Iannapollo. After spending nearly 30 years developing wide-ranging business acumen in oil & gas, IT, supply chain procurement, HR, real estate, logistics and drug & alcohol testing, Rocco set his sights on cannabis to bring much-needed compliant production equipment to manufacturers nationwide. In his role as Executive Director of Emerging Channels at Colorado-based Tundra Restaurant Supply and its subsidiary Cannabis Kitchen Supplies, he helps serve infused-product manufacturers of all sizes. With his deep expertise around supply chains and vendor management, Rocco has become a versatile advocate for clients by implementing sustainable business practices and strategies.
